Verify Open Meeting Notice & Roll Call: The open meeting notice was verified. Chairman Maurice King,
Supervisor LeRoy Pukrop, Supervisor Dennis Meis, Clerk Angela Lochinger, and Treasurer Lori Kolodziej
were present. 5 town residents and/or visitors were present.
Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairman King at 6:00 pm. The Pledge of Allegiance
was recited.
Approval of Minutes from the meetings of February 16, 2026 and March 11, 2026: Supervisor Meis
requested a correction to the February 16, 2026 minutes under “Supervisor Comments/Concerns” to
change the reference from sand being used on the roads to sand being brought to the town hall.
Supervisor Meis motioned to approve the February 16, 2026 minutes as corrected. Supervisor Pukrop
seconded. The motion passed 3-0.
Supervisor Meis noted a typo in the attached conditions listed with the March 11, 2026 minutes.
Supervisor Meis motioned to approve the March 11, 2026 minutes with the typo corrected in the
attached conditions. Supervisor Pukrop seconded. The motion passed 3-0.
Citizens wishing to address the Town Board: Marcie Hintz raised concerns regarding snowplowing, road
damage, operation of town equipment, and employee performance. Discussion followed.
Supervisor Comments/Concerns: Supervisor Meis raised concerns regarding snowplow-related damage
to town roads and difficulties with the town’s website. Discussion followed.
Discussion/Action on bids for paving and shouldering work on Willow Springs Drive: The board reviewed
bids from RC Pavers, American Asphalt, Worden Enterprises, and Earth, Inc. for paving and shouldering
work on Willow Springs Drive from Dewey Drive south.
Following discussion, Supervisor Meis motioned to award the paving and shouldering work to American
Asphalt in the total amount of $123,372.00. Supervisor Pukrop seconded. The motion passed 3-0.
Discussion/Action the sale/disposal of the fire department’s old rescue vehicle: The board discussed
options for the sale or disposal of the fire department’s old rescue vehicle. Chief Lepper proposed first
attempting to sell the vehicle through Facebook at $3,500, then lowering the price to $2,500 and $1,000
if needed, with Wisconsin Surplus, scrap sale, or donation to be considered if necessary.
Supervisor Meis motioned to proceed with the proposed sale plan. Supervisor Pukrop seconded. The
motion passed 3-0.
Discussion/Action the sale/disposal of the fire department’s old SCBA units: The board discussed the fire
department’s old SCBA units. Chief Lepper proposed keeping four units for training purposes until they
expire and selling four units for a total of $800.
Supervisor Meis motioned to keep four SCBA units for training purposes and sell four units for $800.
Supervisor Pukrop seconded. The motion passed 3-0.
Discussion/Action on a request for a Tobacco License for Tiki Bar: Following review of the Cigarette &
Tobacco License application for Tiki Beach Bar & Grill, Supervisor Pukrop motioned to approve the
license. Supervisor Meis seconded. The motion passed 3-0.
Discussion/Action on Resolution No.3 – 2026, a resolution requesting state officials to enact a
comprehensive, sustainable transportation funding solution: The board reviewed Resolution No. 3 –
2026, which requests state officials to support a more comprehensive and sustainable transportation
funding solution instead of relying on inconsistent general purpose revenue funding.
Supervisor Pukrop motioned to approve Resolution No. 3 – 2026. Supervisor Meis seconded. The motion
passed 3-0.
Discussion/Action on repairs to tractor loader: The board discussed proposed repairs to the tractor
loader, including worn loader parts and the high cost of replacement parts from John Deere. It was
noted that the loader was still usable and that the repair cost was not justified.
Supervisor Pukrop motioned not to proceed with the repairs. Supervisor Meis seconded. The motion
passed 3-0.
Discussion on proposed updates to the Town of Dewey’s Policies: The board reviewed and discussed
proposed updates to the Town of Dewey’s Policies. Discussion included wording changes, public records
response timeframes, cash withdrawal procedures, and credit card limits. The board will continue
working on updates to these policies.
Discussion/Action on updates to the Town of Dewey Fee Schedule (IRS Mileage Reimbursement, Chief
Election Inspector, Election Inspectors): Chairman King reported that the IRS mileage reimbursement
rate was updated to 72.5 cents per mile. Chairman King also suggested increasing the pay for the Chief
Election Inspector and Election Inspectors by $1.00 per hour. Discussion followed regarding election
worker pay in comparison to other town employee wages.
Supervisor Pukrop motioned to approve updating the IRS mileage reimbursement rate to the current
federal rate of 72.5 cents per mile. Supervisor Meis seconded. The motion passed 3-0.
Supervisor Meis motioned to postpone action on the proposed wage increases for the Chief Election
Inspector and Election Inspectors until the next meeting to allow for further discussion of election
worker pay in relation to other town employee wages. Supervisor Pukrop seconded. The motion passed
3-0.
Clerk/Treasurer Reports for February: The board reviewed the Clerk and Treasurer reports for February,
noting that the reports balanced.
Supervisor Pukrop motioned to accept the Clerk and Treasurer reports as presented. Supervisor Meis
seconded. The motion passed 3-0.
Chairperson’s Report on town work and activities: Chairman King reported that town employees had
been brushing and clearing roads, including Willow Springs Drive ahead of the planned blacktopping
work. He also reported that a split oak tree on Bay View Drive would be removed for safety reasons.
He also reported that repairs to the Peterbilt had been completed.
Correspondence: The board reviewed correspondence.

•Tuesday, March 24, 2026 – 6:00 p.m. – Town Board meeting
•Wednesday, April 15, 2026 – 6:00 p.m. – Town Board meeting
•Tuesday, April 21, 2026 – 6:30 p.m. – Annual Town Meeting
Approve and Pay Bills: Supervisor Pukrop motioned to approve and pay the bills as presented.
Supervisor Meis seconded. The motion passed 3-0.
Adjournment: Chairman King adjourned the meeting at 8:19 p.m.
