Annual Meeting — Minutes

ANNUAL MEETING 04/15/2025 The Annual Town Meeting for the Town of Brothertown was called to order by Chairman Charles Schneider at 7:00 p.m. at the town hall. Roll Call: Town Chairman: Chuck Schneider, Supervisors: Doug Marcelle and Larry Propson, Highway Supervisor: Logan Schmitz, Treasurer: Lori Fhlug, Clerk: LeAnne Karls and three citizens were present. Supervisor Henry Hecht also present. The meeting was properly announced, and all said the Pledge of Allegiance. Chairman Schneider read through the financial statement for 2024. General questions followed. Constructing the storage shed was discussed. Supervisor Hecht reviewed the specs submitted outlining some concerns and providing suggestions. Henry Hecht made a motion, seconded by Erv Selk, authorizing the Town of Brothertown to build a new storage shed at W3880 Saint Charles Road to house municipal equipment and supplies, with funding allocated from the municipal budget, and that construction will comply with all applicable permits and regulations. Unanimous hand count. Motion carried. Resolution #2025-01 signed by Chairman Schneider. Selling a small parcel of land identified as parcel #2984 was reviewed. Eugene Hanson made a motion, seconded by Chuck Schneider, to not sell the land at this time. Unanimous hand count. Motion carried. Larry Propson requests to change the date of the Annual Meeting to the second Tuesday of April. Larry Propson made a motion, seconded by Doug Marcelle, to hold the Annual Meeting on the second Tuesday of April at 7:00 p.m. beginning in 2026 until further motion approved. Unanimous hand count. Motion carried. General discussion occurred regarding the skid steer and other machinery. Supervisor Hecht questioned the wind ordinances as discussed at last year’s Annual Meeting. No further action is necessary at this time. Chairman Schneider was thanked by all for his years of service. Gerry Karls made a motion, seconded by Eugene Hanson, to adjourn the Annual Meeting. Motion carried unanimously.
