TOWN OF BROTHERTOWN CALUMET COUNTY, WISCONSIN Minutes of Plan Commission Meeting February 18, 2025 CALL TO The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. and quorum was ORDER declared. Secretary Popp confirmed open meeting notice. APPROVAL OF The minutes of the January 14, 2025 Plan Commission meeting MINUTES were reviewed. Following review, a motion was made and seconded with unanimous approval of the minutes. UPDATES TO Attorney Parmentier reviewed with the Plan Commission updated ORDINANCES versions of the Zoning Ordinance, Short-Term Rental Ordinance, and Adult Entertainment Ordinance. The Commission had no additional revisions to the draft Adult Entertainment Ordinance and Short-Term Rental Ordinance that were presented. Prior to acting on the Adult Entertainment Ordinance, Attorney Parmentier reviewed with the Commission the various studies that were referenced by the Ordinance and presented to the Commission the findings of the various studies. Being satisfied that the studies demonstrated the adverse secondary effects of adult businesses, a motion was made and seconded with unanimous approval to recommend that the Town Board adopt the Adult Entertainment Ordinance as presented. In addition, a motion was made and seconded with unanimous approval to recommend to the Town Board adoption of the Short-Term Rental Ordinance as presented. Attorney Parmentier also reviewed with the Commission the additional edits that were made to the draft Zoning Ordinance. The Commission agreed with these revisions and also identified additional revisions that were needed, particularly with respect to contractor facilities and some typographical issues. Subject to Attorney Parmentier making those revisions, a motion was made and seconded with unanimous approval to recommend that the Town Board approve the amendments to the Zoning Ordinance as presented. UPCOMING BUSINESS Secretary Popp informed the Commission of the dates of the next quarry renewal hearings. In addition, there was discussion of the upcoming Town Board public hearing on the above-described Ordinances. This public hearing will be held on April 1, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. prior to the regular Town Board meeting. Attorney Parmentier will circulate an updated final version of the Zoning Ordinance prior to that time and will also work with the Town Clerk on the notice and agenda for that meeting. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business coming before the Plan Commission, a motion was made and seconded with unanimous approval to adjourn.
