TOWN OF BROTHERTOWN CALUMET COUNTY, WISCONSIN Minutes of Plan Commission Meeting — Special Closed Session April 29, 2024 After addressing all other agenda items during the open session, Chairman Thiel read the closed session notice. A motion was made and approved, on a roll call vote with unanimous approval by Commission members, to convene into closed session. During the closed session, Attorney Jack provided an update on the Court of Appeals’ decision in Halquist Stone Company, Inc. v. Town of Brothertown, 2023-AP-1068. Following discussion of the Town’s options, the Commission resolved not to appeal the decision. The Commission will schedule a public hearing for purposes of reissuing the Halquist conditional use permit in accordance with the Court of Appeals’ decision. Upon reconvening into open session, a motion was made and approved, with unanimous approval by Commission members, to adjourn the Plan Commission meeting at approximately 7:45pm.
