TOWN OF NEW HOLSTEIN Town Hall 6:30 PM September 11, 2024 The regular monthly meeting for the Town of New Holstein was called to order at 6:30 pm by Chairman, Ben Henke. Members present: Chairman Ben Henke, Supervisor Dean Konen, Supervisor Len Heimerman, Treasurer Mary Jo Muellenbach, Clerk Samantha Muellenbach Residents present: None. Non Residents present: Chris Meuer and Jason Pausma from Calumet County All recited the pledge of Allegiance. Clerk Muellenbach noted the meeting was properly posted according to WI State Statue. A motion to accept the August 2024 Agenda was made by Chairman Henke, seconded by Supervisor Heimerman, motion carried. A motion to accept the August 2024 monthly minutes as read was made by Supervisor Konen seconded by Supervisor Heimerman, motion carried. Public Comments: none A motion to approve treasurers’ report was made by Chairman Henke, seconded by Supervisor Heimerman, motion carried. A motion to accept the bills for payment was made by Chairman Henke, seconded by Supervisor Heimerman, motion carried. Chris Meuer and Jason Pausma of Calumet County presented Calumet County’s Economic Development for Broadband expansion Chris Meuer of Calumet County presented the Calumet County Comprehensive Plan. A motion to accept the Comprehensive Plan and make Resolution 2024-2 was made by Chairman Henke, seconded by Supervisor Heimerman, motion carried. The board has no objections to the Weidensee CSM Discuss potential repairs to the backhoe, grader and new private radio antenna for Truck 3 Adding a label to the current Culvert/Highway Permit Application for a 90 day validation A motion to approve the Fall Recycling/Large Item Drop Off for October 19, 2024 from 09:00 – 12:00 was approved by Supervisor Konen, seconded by Chairman Henke, motion carried Discussed the 2025 Recycling and Garbage dates Minutes are draft copy until approved at the next board meeting Posted at: W1465 Tecumseh Road, New Holstein; and on the web at: www.townofnewholstein.com A motion to approve to allow any Special Assessments/Special Charges to be added to the 2024 tax bill made by Chairman Henke, seconded by Supervisor Heimerman, motion carried A motion to approve a Resolution 2024-1 for Support Consolidation Recycling Efficiency Grant made by Chairman Henke, seconded by Supervisor Konen, motion carried Annual Operators Meeting to be set for October 26, 2024 at 08:00 am A motion to approve an increase in the payment for drug/alcohol testing from $25.00 to $85.00 was made by Supervisor Konen, seconded by Supervisor Heimerman, motion carried Tabling the Kiel Ambulance Contract to the October Meeting Discussed having a Letter to the Editor for the up coming election Discussed correspondence received.
