Town Baord — Minutes

August 14, 2023 The regular monthly meeting of the Town of Rantoul was called to order at 7:00 pm at the Village Hall of Potter by Supervisor Jannette. He verified that meeting notices were posted on August 12th, 2023. Motion by Eickert, second by Jannette to approve the July 2023 minutes as printed; motion carried by voice vote. Motion by Jannette, second by Eickert to accept the Treasurer ’s report, after bills, of Checking account balance of $20,176.83, Money Market account balance of $148,207.90 and Tax Collection Account of $15.29 for a total of $168,400.02; motion carried by voice vote. The Town Board viewed the most recent sales recording for the Town of Rantoul. The Calumet County Comprehensive Plan was once again discussed. Due to Chairman Mertz bei ng unable to attend this meeting due to illness, this issue will be tabled for further discussion at the next meeting, and to discuss sending this proposal to the Plan Commission for their consideration. The Board viewed the preliminary Statement of Changes in Equalized Values rep ort from the Wisconsin Department of Revenue. The final report will be presented when finalized and made available. The value increased from $101,517,300 in 2022 to $111,797,800 in 2023, a 10% increase. The Rantoul EUB headstone request has been tabled for the September meeting as there has continued to be difficulty in finding a company willing to take this on. A roads tour will be called as needed. Bills totaling $107,404.22 were presented. Motion by Eickert, second by Jannette to approve the bills as presented; motion carried by voice vote.
