Natural Resources Meeting — Minutes

Town of Three Lakes Natural Resources Sub- Committee Regular Meeting Minutes June 29, 2026 – 5:00 PM At the Town Office Meeting Room and Via Google Meet This meeting will be held via teleconference. Interaction and dialogue during the meeting, from the time it’s called to order until public comments, will be limited to only that of the sub-committee or those called upon by the sub-committee to participate. If you are “attending” the meeting, please keep your phones on mute or partake in a silent location. All public comments, just as an in-person meeting, will be reserved per the proper place on the agenda. During the public comment period, please announce your full name prior to making any comments.” In attendance - John Stauner, Rich Javenkoski, and Melissa Zanzinger , 1. Call to order at 5:02 p.m by Melissa 2. Agenda posting was done correctly. 3. Motion by Rich, 2nd John to approve agenda for June 29, 2026 meeting as amended. Item 5, election of chair, was removed and the date of minutes to approve was changed to 6-1-26. Approved 3-0. 4. Motion by Melissa, 2nd by Rich to approve 6-1-26 Regular Meeting minutes. Approved 3-0. 5. Buckthorn Update. McNaughton crew scheduled for the week of July 6th. Honeyrock scheduled for July 15th. Locations were discussed. Rich has confirmed with the Town on budget of $500 and spoken with Three Lakes Fish and Wildlife about providing additional funds if needed. 6. Pollinator Update. The event on 6-28-26 had 10 attendees at the Teaching Drum and James Lake Farms. Most of the attendees were first timers. 7. Tree Planting Donation: Melissa has reached out to Downtown Three Lakes, Inc. There was modest interest from the group in locating a site for tree planting. Research will continue. 8. New Business: None 9. Future agenda items- No additional. 10. Meeting was adjourned by Melissa at 5:24 pm. Next Meeting Tuesday, 8/4/2026.
