Relocate CVFD Training Center – Jacobson stated that last November the fire department proposed a
location for the CVFD Training Center, however, that location is easily accessible by the public when they are
bringing brush to the landfill. Jacobson stated that they are proposing moving to a location that is less
accessible to the public. Mahner reported that Brad Gerdes has recommended it be moved to a new location
which is a bit flatter and will allow future expansion. Mahner reported that he may need to apply for a new
permit through the County Zoning Department. Hartman expressed support. Motion by Jacobson to approve
the relocation of the training center pending zoning approval and the refiling of the application. Seconded by
Pazdernik. All aye; motion carried.
Online Tax Payments – Jacobson stated that this has come up and he would like the town to consider this.
Fletcher stated that she and the clerk will look into this. Hartman reminded the board that this is clearly in the
constitutional office of the elected treasurer and he is in support of how Treasurer Fletcher wishes to move
forward with this.
Utility Work on Town road right of way permit – Hartman presented a draft ordinance for utility work on
town road right of way. Discussion regarding the process. Hartman stated that he envisions having the road
crew check the proposed site prior to any work being completed and keeping an eye on it during the work and
after ensuring that any necessary work is completed correctly. Jacobson expressed concern that the utility
won’t follow through on any necessary repairs and would like to see language added that the utility will comply
with the Crescent Road Crew. Discussion regarding the non-compliance fee of $100/day. Pazdernik spoke in
support of the non-compliance fee. Hartman will add language to the non-compliance fee that it must meet the
specifications of the road crew. This will be brought back to the July meeting.
