November 19, 2025 Town of Dewey Board Meeting Note: These are the proposed Minutes that will be approved at the next Board meeting. ___________________________________________________________________________ Minutes Wednesday, November 19, 2025 430 Dewey Drive-Stevens Point WI 54482 Verify Open Meeting Notice & Roll Call: The open meeting notice was verified. Chairman Maurice King, Supervisor LeRoy Pukrop, Supervisor Dennis Meis, Clerk Angela Lochinger, and Treasurer Lori Kolodziej were present. 0 town residents and/or visitors were present. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairman King at 6:10 pm immediately following the Public Hearing on the Budget and the Special Town Meeting of the Electors. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Approval of Minutes from the meetings of October 15, 2025, October 22, 2025 and November 12, 2025: Supervisor Pukrop motioned to approve the minutes of October 15, 2025, as presented. Supervisor Meis seconded. The motion passed 3-0. Supervisor Meis motioned to approve the minutes of October 22, 2025, as presented. Supervisor Pukrop seconded. The motion passed 3-0. Supervisor Pukrop motioned to approve the minutes of November 12, 2025, as presented. Supervisor Meis seconded. The motion passed 3-0. Citizens wishing to address the Town Board: None Supervisor Comments/Concerns: None Discussion/Action on adopting the Town of Dewey 2026 Budget: Supervisor Meis motioned to adopt the 2026 Budget for the Town of Dewey, as presented. Supervisor Pukrop seconded. The motion passed 3-0. Discussion/Action on technology updates: The board reviewed a quote from Sprinter Business for new laptops with setup and configuration at a cost of $1,285 per laptop. It was noted that the current town laptops can’t support the required Windows 11 security upgrade. Chairman King recommended purchasing new laptops for the clerk and treasurer due to their use of higher-security functions, and delaying replacement of the chairperson’s laptop. Supervisor Pukrop motioned to approve the purchase of new laptops for the clerk and treasurer at a cost of $1,285 each. Supervisor Meis seconded. The motion passed 3-0. Discussion/Action on the license for Crocker’s Landing Mobile Home Park: Following discussion Supervisor Meis motioned to approve the mobile home license for Crocker’s Landing for 2026. Supervisor Pukrop seconded. The motion passed 3-0. Update on Public Access property on Bay View Drive: Chairman King reported that the dock has been removed from the Public Access property, and the town’s attorney is closing the matter. Discussion on proposal to revisit a request for the additional of south on/off ramps to 1-39: Chairman King reported that the Town of Hull raised the issue again in an effort to reduce traffic on N Second Dr. Hull would need county or state support to pursue the request, and the Town of Dewey would support it if that occurs. Discussion on recent road groomer demonstration: The board discussed the road groomer demonstration held last month on Haymeadow Drive between Oakwood Drive and Birch Drive. They agreed a follow-up demonstration should be done next spring when the shoulder can be properly cut. Clerk/Treasurer Reports for October: The board reviewed the Clerk and Treasurer reports for October, noting that the reports balanced. Supervisor Pukrop motioned to accept the Clerk and Treasurer reports as presented. Supervisor Meis seconded. The motion passed 3-0. Chairperson’s Report on town work and activities: Chairman King reported that town employees completed all culvert replacements and the culvert inventory, finished patching on Scenic Drive, Sunset Drive, and North Reserve Drive, graded Willow Springs Drive, performed road grading, brushing and tree trimming, and prepared equipment for winter. Correspondence: The board reviewed correspondence. Meeting Dates & Agendas: Upcoming Town meetings will be held at the Town of Dewey Town Hall on: •Wednesday, December 17, 2025 – 6:00 p.m. – Town Board meeting Approve and Pay Bills: Supervisor Pukrop motioned to approve and pay the bills as presented, and to authorize payment of an additional invoice from Stuczynski Trucking and Excavating Inc. that was received after the normal cutoff date. Supervisor Meis seconded. The motion passed 3-0. Adjournment: Chairman King adjourned the meeting at 6:58 p.m.
