Approved 112525 Notice of Special Town Board Meeting - Budget Workshop Thursday September 25, 2025 2:00 P.M. Boulder Junction Community Center, Town Office 5392 Park Street, Boulder Junction, WI 54512 MINUTES 1) CALL TO ORDER/ PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE/ ROLL CALL  This Special Town Board Meeting Budget Workshop was properly noticed according to WI State Statute 19.85. Chairman Reuss called the meeting to order and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance. Also present were Supervisor Laura Berch, Supervisor Dylan Schutt, Clerk/Treasurer Dan Driscoll and one guest. 2) APPROVAL OF AGENDA /ORDER OF THE DAY(discussion & possible action)  MOTION BERTCH/SECOND SCHUTT. To approve agenda. VOTE: MOTION UNANIMOUSLY CARRIED. 3) NEW BUSINESS (discussion & possible action) A. Discussion and possible action - Budget work session to work on 2025 budget and worksheet O Board held a preliminary discussion on the 2026 budget and the allowable levy rate for 2025 to be paid in 2026.  Levy for 2025 is $1,150,805.00, which is higher than 2024 due to raising levy in 2024 and new construction.  Board did not at this time consider raising the levy  Waiting on final budget request from EMS district, which may increase from 2024 O No board action was taken 4) OLD BUSINESS (discussion and possible action) A. Discussion and possible action - Set public hearing date for Chamber request to increase room tax from 5.5% to 6.75% o MOTION REUSS/SECOND BERTCH To set public hearing date for Chamber request to increase room tax from 5.5% to 6.75% for October 23, 2025 at 6:00 pm. VOTE: MOTION UNANIMOUSLY CARRIED. 5) SUGGEST TOPICS FOR FUTURE BUDGET WORKSHOPS  None 6) DISCUSS NEED AND SET DATE FOR NEXT WORKSHOPS  Next budget workshop will be held October 9, 2025 7) ADJOURN(discussion & possible action)  Chairman Reuss adjourned the meeting at 2:06 pm.
