TOWN OF AMHERST PUBLIC HEARING AND SPECIAL TOWN MEETING ON LOT SPLIT, REZONE AND AMEND THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN REQUEST FOR JASON SOPA 006-23-1021-12.12 July 22, 2026 NOTICE: Legal in Stevens Point Journal, 2 Postings and Website ROLL CALL: Clerk Shawn Lea, Supervisor Dick Trzebiatowski, Chairman Don Spierings, Plan Commission Chair Brenna Olson, Sondra Bennett and Jason Sopa. **Supervisor Lutz could not attend meeting. CALL TO ORDER : 6:30 P.M. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None Plan Commission Chair, Brenna Olson told the town board that Plan Commission recommended approval. Clerk Lea asked if the Sopa property was in compliance since it was an early issue. Sopa claims he is in compliance. Clerk Lea read the changes, which are: Amend the Town of Amherst Comprehensive Plan (Future Land Use Map designation): Change Lot 1 (1.871 acres) from L3 Limited Agriculture/Mixed Use to Commercial Change Lot 2 (0.986 acres) from L3 Limited Agriculture/Mixed Use to Residential Re-zone Rezone Lot 1 (1.871 acres) from A3 to C4 Highway Commercial Rezone Lot 2 (0.986 acres) from A3 to R2 Single Family Residence Lot split - subdivide his 2.857-acre parcel into two lots Lot 1 (1.871 acres) Lot 2 (0.986 acres) containing the existing residence M/S Trzebiatowski/Spierings to approve the lot split, changes to the lots, rezoning of the lots and to amend the Town of Amherst Comprehensive Plan. M/C Ayes = 2 CLOSING OF PUBLIC HEARING AND SPECIAL TOWN MEETING: M/S Dick Trzebiatowski/Don Spierings to close the Public Hearing and Special Town Meeting at 6:34 p.m. Ayes = 2.
