Town Plan Commission Meeting — Minutes

Town of Dewey Town Plan Commission Dewey Town Hall 430 Dewey Drive – Stevens Point – WI 54482 Wednesday November 5, 2025, 4:30 p.m. Meeting Minutes 1) Meeting was called to order at 4:31 pm and Kathy led the Pledge of Allegiance 2) Public notice was given: Roll call was taken: Present: Kathy Girolamo, Doug Evica, Rhonda Hollfelder, Maurice King and Sandy Meis 3) Discussion/Action on the minutes from the meeting of April 21, 2025 Motion: Rhonda made a motion to accept minutes as written, seconded by Maurice – Motion Passed: 5-0 4) Correspondences Maurice received two letters regarding today’s meeting on the mine. Maurice also received a notice that the Sunset mine will be sold to Mathy. 5) Discussion on Plan Commission members terms. In December existing terms will be renewed to April and then in April terms will be renewed but staggered as they were previously. 6) Discussion/Action on request for a 20 year extension of the quarry operation permit. Motion: Doug made a motion for the decision to extend the permit for the mine for 20 years be postponed until we get further guidance from Portage County Planning and Zoning, seconded by Maurice – Motioned Passed: 5-0 7) Next Meeting schedule – TBD 8) Adjournment – Meeting adjourned 6:32 pm
