October 22, 2025 Town of Dewey Board Meeting Note: These are the proposed Minutes that will be approved at the next Board meeting. ___________________________________________________________________________ Minutes Wednesday, October 22, 2025 430 Dewey Drive-Stevens Point WI 54482 Verify Open Meeting Notice & Roll Call: The open meeting notice was verified. Chairman Maurice King, Supervisor LeRoy Pukrop, Supervisor Dennis Meis, Clerk Angela Lochinger, and Treasurer Lori Kolodziej were present. 0 town resident and/or visitors were present. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairman King at 6:00 pm. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Discussion/Action on technology updates: The Board revisited the computer and software upgrade discussion, but no action was taken since the price quotes still haven’t come in. Review Town Newsletter: The Board reviewed the draft Annual Newsletter provided by Chairman King and noted one update was needed to the meeting start time. Discussion/Action on transfer of funds from Parks Fund to General Fund: Chairman King explained that the town normally transfers $650 from the Parks Fund each year to cover routine expenses. This year, the town also incurred a $1,000 survey cost on the Public Access Lot, which qualifies as a park-related cost. The Board discussed legal expenses related to the ongoing Public Access issue and agreed to consider an additional transfer next year once that matter is finalized. Supervisor Pukrop motioned to transfer $1,650 from the Parks Fund to the General Fund to cover annual expenses. Supervisor Meis seconded. The motion passed 3-0. Work on 2026 budget: The board worked on the proposed 2026 budget. Adjournment: Chairman King adjourned the meeting at 6:26 p.m.
