TOWN OF ANGELICA Special Town Board Meeting – August 31, 2023 Those officials attending were Town Chair James Przybylski, Town Supervisors Greg Van Asten and Brian Eckberg, and Clerk Connie Przybylski. Others in attendance were James Mills. The special town m eeting was called to o rder by Chair James Przybylski at 3:00 p .m. Followed by discussion of Cherry Drive concerning Challenge the Outdoors. Chair Przybylski asked Supervi sor E ckberg what concer ns he had about Ch allenge the Outdoors . Supervisor Eckberg asked about rescinding the land at the end of Cherry Drive to Challenge the Outdoors. Also asked about if the road was going to be gravel or blacktop. Supervisor Van Asten asked if they are going to blacktop the road , and where does the snowplow turn a round. Chair Przybylski pre sented information that he has gathered. The Town receives general transportation aid for the road and more than one resident uses the road, and the town should keep the road for future development in the hamlet of Angelica. Supervisor Van Asten asked about the legal concerns about blacktopping a town road. Chair Przybylski also checked with planning and zoning, and the town is not obligated to blacktop that section of the road. It was the consensus of the board t o have the Chair l ook into the safety standards with Grant Bystol and check with Phil Kleman (engineer for Challenge the Outdoors) to confirm that the road will be blacktopped. MOTION (Eckberg/Van Asten/PASSED UNANIMOUSLY) to adjourn the meeting.
