Verify Open Meeting Notice & Roll Call: The open meeting notice was verified. Chairman Maurice King,
Supervisor LeRoy Pukrop, Supervisor Dennis Meis, Clerk Angela Lochinger, and Treasurer Lori Kolodziej
were present. 1 town resident and/or visitors was present.
Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairman King at 6:00 pm. The Pledge of Allegiance
was recited.
Approval of Minutes from the meeting of September 11, 2025 and September 24, 2025: Supervisor
Meis motioned to approve the minutes of September 11, 2025, as presented. Chairman King seconded.
Supervisor Pukrop abstained, as he was not in attendance. The motion passed 2-0, with 1 abstention.
Supervisor Pukrop motioned to approve the minutes of September 24, 2025, as presented. Supervisor
Meis seconded. The motion passed 3-0.
Citizens wishing to address the Town Board: Doug Evica discussed wetland delineation for the Dewey
Drive project, trimming of overhead branches, and culvert placements.
Supervisor Comments/Concerns: Supervisor Meis suggested completing some brushing and tree
trimming if time allows. Supervisor Pukrop inquired about snow fencing plans for the season. Chairman
King said fencing may not be needed depending on weather.
Discussion/Action on hiring employee for snowplowing: Chairman King reported that a qualified
individual, recommended by a town employee, was interested in snowplowing this winter.
Supervisor Pukrop motioned to approve hiring Mark McHugh for snowplowing. Supervisor Meis
seconded. The motion passed 3-0.
Discussion/Action on technology updates: Clerk Lochinger provided an update on discussions with
Sprinter Business Solutions related to computer and software upgrades, security, and pricing. No action
was taken as price quotes had not yet been received.
Update on sale of the Sterling truck and equipment: Chairman King reported the Sterling truck and
equipment is listed on WisconsinSurplus.com with a minimum bid of $20,000 for two weeks, to be
relisted at $15,000 if not sold.
Update on Public Access property on Bay View Drive: Chairman King explained that most items have
been removed as required, but the dock, though pulled out, remains on the property. The town’s
attorney has been notified and will send another letter requesting the removal.
Clerk/Treasurer Reports for September: The board reviewed the Clerk and Treasurer reports for
September, noting that the reports balanced.
Supervisor Pukrop motioned to accept the Clerk and Treasurer reports as presented. Supervisor Meis
seconded. The motion passed 3-0.
Chairperson’s Report on town work and activities: Chairman King reported that town employees have
been widening shoulders and installing culverts on Willow Springs Dr and North Reserve Dr, with North
Sunset Dr scheduled next. He noted that Willow Springs Dr has been milled and road base hauling has
begun. Granite was added to low areas on North Torun Rd, and Kawleski Trucking removed larger rocks
to improve grading.
Correspondence: The board reviewed correspondence.
Meeting Dates & Agendas: Upcoming Town meetings will be held at the Town of Dewey Town Hall on:
• Wednesday, October 22, 2025 – 6:00 p.m. – Town Board meeting to work on the Town Budget
• Wednesday, November 19, 2025 – 6:00 p.m. – Public Hearing on the 2026 Budget, followed by a
Special Town Meeting of the Electors, and then a Town Board meeting
Approve and Pay Bills: Supervisor Pukrop motioned to approve and pay the bills as presented, with
tentative approval of payment to Kafka Road Materials contingent upon verification of load slips.
Supervisor Meis seconded. The motion passed 3-0.
Work on 2026 Budget: The board worked on the proposed 2026 budget.
Adjournment: Chairman King adjourned the meeting at 7:28 p.m.
