Firehouse, 574 Commercial Avenue, Green Lake, WI 54941 Call to Order: The meeting of the Fire Commission was called to order by Chairman Nawrocki. The requirements of the open meeting law were certified as being met. Present/Absent Roll Call: Ron Triemstra Present Christopher Foos Present LuAnn Mirr-Frank Present James Hebbe, Vice-Chairman Absent David Nawrocki, Chairman Present Todd Morris Present Also Present: Chief William Wagner Josh Schmidt – EMS Christopher Foos – First Responder Director Approval of Minutes: Motion/second (Foos/Mirr-Frank) to approve the March 25, 2026, meeting minutes with correction to next meeting date. Motion carried. Appearances: none First Responders’ Report and Invoices: April report was distributed. No expenses in April. Training with Berlin EMS, 23 calls for month and responders went on 10. Some interest in First Responders with CESA 6 Job Fair held at Green Lake School. No need to approve the First Responders report due to $0.00 in expenses. Fire Chief’s Report and Invoices: April report was distributed. 2 Meetings held, 7 calls for the month, ESO reporting, 2% auditing scheduling, working on implementing Employee Assistance Program, County Wide Fire Association meeting, attended Job Fair at Green Lake School. Monthly expenses of $2743.66. Motion/Second ( Morris/Mirr-Frank) to approve the April Fire Chief’s report with expenses of $2743.66. Motion carried. EMS Reporting: Schmidt gave report, 143 calls for the month. Business: Recruitment and Retention – The department has a new firemen with a lot of experience. Chief will be emailing Berlin, Princeton, and Markesan Chiefs to schedule a meeting to discuss working together on daytime fires when departments are short staffed.
