Village of Marquette Green Lake County, Wisconsin Regular Meeting Minutes, December 8, 2025 Call to Order The regular meeting of the Village Board, for the Village of Marquette, was called to order by President Cybul at 7:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll Call Roll Call: President-Art Cybul-present Clerk-Susan Geraldi-present. Trustee-Peter Michalos-present Treasurer- Paula Gilbertson-present Trustee-Tony Deiss-present There were 2 citizens in attendance. Certification of Compliance with the Open Meetings Law Certification of Compliance with the Open Meetings law: Agenda notice was posted in three public places-Village Hall, kiosks at the Post Office and Truck Garage, also posted on the Village Website. Approve Agenda A motion to approve the agenda was made. Michalos/Deiss, Motion passed. (unanimous) Approval of Special Budget Meeting Minutes sent to Board members. A motion to approve the Special Budget Meeting minutes was made. Deiss/Michalos, Motion passed. (Unanimous) Approval of Regular Minutes sent to Board members. A motion to approve the Regular Meeting minutes was made. Michalos/Deiss, Motion passed. (Unanimous) Reading and Approval of Treasurer’s Report The Treasurer’s report was read. The motion to approve the Treasurer’s report was made. Deiss/Michalos, Motion passed. (unanimous) Approve payment of Bills: Presented for payment were vouchers 1250-1269 in the amount of $4232.54 plus the $4500.00 for the maintained balance and utilities for the Grand total of $8,732.54. There will be 1 transfer to the general fund of $7,700.00. The motion to approve the bills, Michalos/Deiss. Motion passed. (unanimous) Citizen Comments - Time Limits No Citizens Comments Discuss/Approve: Approve Treasurers transfers for Tax Settlements for January and February 2026 The motion was made to approve the Village Treasurer to transfer funds for tax settlements for January and February 2026. Deiss/Michalos. Motion passed. (Unanimous) Choose date and time for caucus The motion was made to hold the caucus on January 12, 2026 at 7:00 pm before our next regular meeting. Michalos/Deiss. Motion passed. (Unanimous) Approve poll workers for 2026-2027 The motion was made to approve the poll worker list for the 2026-2027 elections and to add Peter Michalos name. Michalos/Deiss. Motion passed. (Unanimous) Approve pay increase to $12.00 for Chief Inspectors The motion was made to increase the Chief Inspectors pay from $9.00 an hour to $12.00 due to additional training hours. Deiss/Michalos. Motion passed. (Unanimous) Board Reminders/Updates New garbage and recycling pick up day The new day for garbage and recycling is on a Thursday starting in January, 2026. Residents will receive a new calendar with their tax bills and one will be posted in the Post Office. Construction Update Cement work and striping of the roads will be concluded in the Spring when weather allows. Miscellaneous items The plow truck had to have 2 hoses replaced and is back in service. The grant application for a new gazebo was declined and the President will be looking for new grants. The LRIP application for Fourth St road construction has been submitted and waiting for approval. Tax bills will be mailed out on Monday, December 15, 2025 Adjourn Motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:36 p.m. Michalos/Deiss. Motion passed. (unanimous)
