Village of Marquette Green Lake County, Wisconsin Regular Meeting Minutes, October 13, 2025 Call to Order The regular meeting of the Village Board, for the Village of Marquette, was called to order by President Cybul at 7:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll Call Roll Call: President-Art Cybul-present Clerk-Susan Geraldi-present. Trustee-Peter Michalos-present Treasurer- Paula Gilbertson-present Trustee-Tony Deiss-present There were 5 citizens in attendance. Certification of Compliance with the Open Meetings Law Certification of Compliance with the Open Meetings law: Agenda notice was posted in three public places-Village Hall, kiosks at the Post Office and Truck Garage, also posted on the Village Website. Approve Agenda A motion to approve the agenda was made. Deiss/Michalos, Motion passed. (unanimous) Approval of Regular Meeting Minutes sent to Board members. A motion to approve the Regular Meeting minutes was made. Michalos/Deiss, Motion passed. (Unanimous) Approval of BOR Meeting Minutes sent to Board members. A motion to approve the amended minutes to add President Cybul as present at the BOR. Michalos/Deiss, Motion passed. (Unanimous) Reading and Approval of Treasurer’s Report The Treasurer’s report was read. The motion to approve the Treasurer’s report was made. Michalos/Deiss, Motion passed. (unanimous) Approve Payment of Bills Approve payment of Bills: Presented for payment were vouchers 1204-1321 in the amount of $61,633.62 plus the $4500.00 for the maintained balance and utilities for the Grand total of $66,133.62. There will be 1 transfer to the general fund of $66,133.62. The motion to approve the bills, Deiss/Michalos. Motion passed. (unanimous) Citizen Comments - Time Limits No Citizens Comments Discuss/Approve: Discuss and Approve pay increase for Village Clerk President Cybul excused himself from the room as not to bias any of the Board Members. Trustee Michalos made the motion to approve a $100.00 monthly bonus starting October until April to bring the Clerk Salary within comparable salaries of surrounding Clerks. Deiss/Michalos, 2 ayes, 0 nays. Motion passed. Choose date and time for budget hearing. The President, Clerk, and Tresure will meet on October 23, 2025, at 6pm at the Village Hall to develop the 2026 budget. The budget hearing will be on November 10, 2025 at 7:00 pm at the Village Hall. Michalos/Deiss, Motion passed. (Unanimous) Library Funding Due to the road construction needs for the Village, it was determined to leave the budget at $1500.00. Board Reminders/Updates Construction Update Derek Mashuda prepared an estimate for the Krueger property culvert costs, and it will be added to next year’s budget and done in parts. First, we will be cutting down trees and clearing out the culvert this winter. The County is waiting on the asphalt company to finish the Village Roads. Halloween Update Reminder that the Village and Town of Marquette will be holding our Annual Halloween Event at the Village Hall on Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 1-3 pm. Residents are welcome to pass out their candy and treats in the hall. Due to the Construction, it will be safer for kids to come to one place. We also will have rock painting, coloring, and picture taking with monsters. You can pick up flyers at the Village Hall to put on your front door informing kids that you are at the Village Hall passing out candy. Just call the Clerk to get a flyer.
