Village of Marquette Green Lake County, Wisconsin Regular Meeting Minutes, September 8, 2025 Call to Order The regular meeting of the Village Board, for the Village of Marquette, was called to order by President Cybul at 7:04 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll Call Roll Call: President-Art Cybul-present Clerk-Susan Geraldi-present. Trustee-Peter Michalos-present Treasurer- Paula Gilbertson-present Trustee-Tony Deiss-present There were 7 citizens in attendance. Certification of Compliance with the Open Meetings Law Certification of Compliance with the Open Meetings law: Agenda notice was posted in three public places-Village Hall, kiosks at the Post Office and Truck Garage, also posted on the Village Website. Approve Agenda A motion to approve the agenda was made. Michalos/Deiss, Motion passed. (unanimous) Approval of Regular Meeting Minutes sent to Board members. A motion to approve the Regular Meeting minutes was made. Deiss/Michalos Motion passed. (Unanimous) Reading and Approval of Treasurer’s Report The Treasurer’s report was read. The motion to approve the Treasurer’s report was made. Michalos/Deiss, Motion passed. (unanimous) Approve Payment of Bills Approve payment of Bills: Presented for payment were vouchers 1189-1203 in the amount of $22531.24 plus the $4500.00 for the maintained balance and utilities for the Grand total of $27031.74. There will be 1 transfer to the general fund of $23,500.00. The motion to approve the bills, Deiss/Michalos. Motion passed. (unanimous) Citizen Comments - Time Limits Citizen Comments were given and responded accordingly. Discuss/Approve: Discuss and Approve NEBAT $100,000. Loan for Village Trustee Michalos made the motion to approve the NEBAT $100,000. Loan for Village at 5.25% for 7 years with an annual P & I payment-approx. $17,500/yr. And approve the cost of document review of $500. Approve President, Clerk and Treasurer to sign the loan documents. Michalos/Deiss. Motion passed. (unanimous) Discuss and Approve Ordinance #73 regarding parallel parking on Second St. The motion was made to approve Ordinance #73. Deiss/Michalos. Motion passed. (unanimous) Discuss and Approve Village Halloween Event for Sunday, October 26, 2025 From 1:00pm- 3:00pm at the Village Hall. Michalos/Deiss. Motion passed. (unanimous) Update on Krueger property culvert costs. Derek Mashuda is preparing an estimate on costs before Oct. 1 st so it can be added to next year’s budget. Also looking at grants to help with the costs. Approve Donation for Julie Powell Individual donations will be made to Julie Powell Discuss 2026 Projects Fourth Street and Cemetery Road. Chip Seal quotes are being prepared by Scott Construction company. Water Culver by Krueger property. Standard Road Maintenance, 2026 USA Celebrations, and Village Welcome Signage will be added to next year’s budget. Board Reminders/ Updates Open Book/BOR Open Book is September 13, 2025, by appointment only with Assessor Brian Frank. Call 920-484-5042 to schedule an appointment. BOR is September 30th from 6pm-8pm. Animal Ordinance Amendments The ordinance was signed by the Village Attorney. Art will post them online. Village Construction Construction is running a little behind due to weather but hopes to catch up. LRIP Grants President Cybul is working with Derek Mashuda on securing some LRIP, Innovation grants.
