Town Board August 2026 — Minutes

Town of Springwater August 10, 2026 Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. Present C/Hernandez, S/Johnson, S/Baitinger Motion by S/Baitinger, Second by S/Johnson to accept the agenda as presented. Motion carried. Motion by S/Johnson, Second by S/Baitinger to approve the July 13, 2026 meeting minutes. Motion carried. Public Comments: moved to discussion on Covered Bridge Park Clerk’s Report: Motion by S/Baitinger, Second byS/Johnson to approve checks 23167-23182 for a total of $44,709.06. Motion carried. The Clerk informed the Board of the proposed changes to printing tax bills. The Clerk shared calls received in regards to driving Golf carts on town roads. After discussion it was decided all calls would be directed to the Sheriff’s department. Road Report: Mike cleaned up debris on Aniwa and notified law enforcement who will be issuing a citation. Yeska will look into restitution for this matter. Mike is patching roads. Chipping will most likely start around August 20th. Mowing will most likely begin in mid September. Susan reported on the Covered Bridge Park and showed pictures of the Park to the Board. The Board expressed their appreciation to Joe and Susan and other volunteers for their many donated hours. Joe is still looking into irrigation for the Park. Resolution 2026-1, Resolution to Consider Discontinuing Public Roadway (20th Court) was read. A motion was made to approve Resolution 2026-1. Motion carried on a 3-0 voice vote. Yeska will send the resolution to neighboring land owners, record the Lis Pendens with the Waushara County Register of Deeds, will place the ad in the Waushara Argus for three consecutive weeks beginning August 19, 2026. Members of the Board will inspect the land and will hold a public hearing on September 14, 2026 at 7:00pm. Following the approval of the Resolution, it will be recorded with the Waushara County Register of Deeds. Discussion in regards to letting Lake Associations use the Hall for meetings. S/Johnson will open the Hall for Round Lake’s August meeting. Future agenda items: 20th Court, Mobile Home Parking Permit Ordinance re-enacted. Next meeting: September 14 , 2026.
