August 27, 2025 Town of Dewey Board Meeting Note: These are the proposed Minutes that will be approved at the next Board meeting. ___________________________________________________________________________ Minutes Wednesday, August 27, 2025 430 Dewey Drive-Stevens Point WI 54482 Verify Open Meeting Notice & Roll Call: Open meeting notice was verified. Chairman Maurice King, Supervisor LeRoy Pukrop, Supervisor Dennis Meis and Clerk Angela Lochinger were present. Treasurer Lori Kolodziej was excused. 4 town residents and/or visitors were present. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairman King at 6:00 pm. Provide an update on the proposed reconstruction of Willow Springs Drive: Chairman King reported the plan is to pulverize and relay the pavement to a 28-foot width on Willow Springs Drive, starting at Dewey Drive and continuing south for about 5,386 feet. The project will also include installing 4 inches of compacted 1¼-inch dense road base over the same stretch. Discuss/answer any questions from adjoining property owners/citizens: Residents asked about the timeline for milling work, whether the project could be completed in one year, the extent of ditching, culvert replacements, and driveway access. The board said bids will be opened September 11, 2025, with work expected to begin this fall, noted that allowing a freeze-thaw cycle improves road longevity, and confirmed a culvert near Dewey Drive will be replaced and driveway tapers addressed during blacktop work. Adjournment: Chairman King adjourned the meeting at 6:32 p.m.
