Town Board Meeting — Minutes

Town of Springwater May 12, 2025 Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. Present C/Hernandez, S/Baitinger, S/Johnson Motion by S/Baitinger, Second by S/Johnson to accept the agenda with the corrected date of the next meeting as June 9, 2025. Motion carried. Motion by S/Baitinger, Second by S/Johnson to approve the April 14, 2025 minutes. Motion carried. Public Comments: William Ringenoldus requested the Board take into consideration neighboring property owners when selling the walk-in Lake Access sites. Clerks Report: Motion by S/Baitinger, Second by S/Johnson to approve checks 22783-22809 for a total of $64,294.11. Motion carried. Unitel would like to meet with the Town to discuss a cloud-based phone system. Discussed ways to recoup delinquent personal property taxes. Road Report: The remaining Lake signs are up. The picnic table and fountain are put out at the Covered Bridge Park. Mike fixed the plastic in the barn at the Park. Mike continues to clean up limbs and patch roads. Discussed paving W. Round Lake Road. Mike and S/Johnson will look into this. Motion by S/Baitinger, Second by S/Johnson to chip seal Aniwa Dr., 19th, Mt. Morris Rd, and Aspen Ave (4.66 miles) for $86,531.00. Motion carried. Chairman Hernandez signed the Certified Survey Map for Mike Jakubowski. Motion by S/Baitinger, Second by S/Johnson to approve the liquor license applications. Motion carried. Covered Bridge Park: After discussion the Board determined that the current Road Crew staff will help clean up the Park and provide extra man power as needed. Special meeting will be held on June 5th at 4:00pm for the purpose of assessing walk-in lake access sites. Future agenda items to include W. Round Lake Road, Unitel phone system.
