Town of Poy Sippi – Waushara County Town Board Meeting Minutes May 11, 2026 The Town Board Meeting was called to order at 7:02pm, with all board members present. Present in the audience was, Fire Chief, Brian Petit and Deputy Fire Chief, Matt LaSure. It was noted that the agenda was posted. Steve made a motion, 2nd by John to approve the agenda, all ayes, motion carried. Jalaine read the minutes from previous meeting; Steve made a motion 2nd by John to accept the minutes as read, all ayes, motion carried. Lori reported that we have $50,661.61 in the General Fund checking account, Steve made a motion, 2nd by John, to accept the treasurers report as read, all ayes, motion carried. Old Business: Road maintenance contract from Scott Construction was reviewed. The board decided to do Beechnut Road – South of CTY H; Robert Street – North of CTY H and 37th Ave – between Haase Road and Chicago Ave and tabled Buttercup Ct – Curve West of CTH XX. Clerk to mail signed contract to Scott Construction. Fire Department Service Contract reviewed and signed by the board with payments of ½ now, and other ½ payment in August 2026. Culvert repair on Big Horn Dr ., last house on the right, on the south side of the road. Board to get estimates for repair/replacement from S&G Excavating and Brad Lind Excavating. New Business: Discussion to rezone the former Country Rose building located at N4398 State Road 49 from commercial to residential. The buyer wants to turn it into apartments. Number of apartment units is unknown. Chairman to call zoning for town benefit or not of making this change and will leave the decision up to the county zoning department. The board discussed the Fire Protection Service fee and ways to help pay for the services in the township. A fee per property owner was a possibility. Board to check into all possibilities other townships have utilized. Open Blook and Board of Review date of June 8, 2026, at 7:00pm to Meet to Adjourn to a Later Date, due to the fact that the assessment roll is not completed at this time. Clerk to post to the town website and the town bulletin board a Notice of Meeting to Adjourn Board of Review to a Later Date. Discuss and approve payment of current bills; Steve made a motion, 2nd by John, all ayes, motion carried.
