Shoreline Committee — Minutes

Town of Onalaska Shoreline Committee Minutes 6 23 2026 Committee members in attendance: Luke Marcou, Frank Fogel, Steve Wage, Marc Schultz 1. Meeting was called to order by Luke Marcou at 7:00 pm 2. A motion to approve the agenda was made by Frank Fogel second by Steve Wage adopted unanimously 3. Public Comment Ron Klich of W7729 ZB asked that a refund of remaining permit fees be considered for those who sell their property prior to expiration of their dock permit. 4. A motion was made by Frank Fogel to approve the minutes of April 28, 2026. Second by Steve Wage. A change was agreed upon to change the April 28 minutes to state: A tree was removed from the right of way. Revised minutes were adopted unanimously. 5. Deferred until next meeting as revised draft letter and ordinance is needed to discuss 6. Motion by Frank Fogel to create an updated draft ordinance for noncompliance correction procedures second by Steve wage adopted unanimously. 7. Marc Schultz gave the lake Onalaska District update. Marc said dredging of the Northshore Lane Fish Overwintering Project has begun and it will last at least 12 weeks. The pumping of dredge material into bags for dewatering is going as planned with clear water being pumped back into the lake and dredge material remaining in the porous bags to allow drying and eventually transported for beneficial use. The Lake District Social at the Sailboat Club was canceled due to weather and will be rescheduled for August. It looks like this will be a strong growth year for lake weeds however the wild rice appears to be not as abundant this year . 8.
