Planning Commission Meeting Minutes – APPROVED Date: Tuesday, June 2, 2026 Time: 4:00 p.m. Location: Town Hall – 2800 Ward Ave, La Crosse, WI 54601 Present: Chairperson Mike Kendhammer, Commissioners Karen Kouba, Meg Paulino, Al Schulz, and Elliott Bujan; Supervisor Marlene Heal, Administrator Christina Peterson, and Clerk Fortune Berg. Excused: Commissioner Dave Gebhart. Attendance List: None. 1. Meeting called to order by Kendhammer at 4:00 p.m. 2. Minutes from 05/12/2026. Motion by Schulz to approve minutes from 05/12/2026, second by Kouba. Motion carried unanimously. 3. Public Comment. None. 4. Rezone Request for 11-01448-000 (2829 26th St S) – Coulee Ave Building. Peterson noted the plan for relocating the fire station and noted the grant money received. Peterson noted other funding options to help with the costs of getting the building updated to relocate the fire station. Discussion on utilization plans for Town owned buildings. Discussion on funding. Motion by Kouba to recommend rezoning parcel 11-01448-000 from industrial to public facilities and institutional, second by Schulz. Motion carried unanimously. 5. Administrator Report. None. 6. Commissioner Reports. None. 7. Adjourn. Motion by Heal to adjourn at 4:26 p.m., second by Kouba. Motion carried unanimously.
