Planning Commission Meeting Minutes – APPROVED Date: Tuesday, May 12, 2026 Time: 4:30 p.m. Location: Town Hall – 2800 Ward Ave, La Crosse, WI 54601 Present: Chairperson Mike Kendhammer, Commissioners Karen Kouba, Dave Gebhart, Meg Paulino, Al Schulz, Supervisor Marlene Heal, Administrator Christina Peterson, and Clerk Fortune Berg. Excused: Commissioner Elliott Bujan. Attendance List: Francisco and Patrice Zornosa (W4909 Battlestone Station Road), Joe Hauser (N2095 County Road F), Nick Weber (145 17th St S), and Tim Buisman (W4896 County Road F). 1. Meeting called to order by Kendhammer at 4:30 p.m. 2. Minutes from 03/10/2026. Motion by Kouba to approve minutes from 03/10/2026, second by Schulz. Motion carried unanimously. 3. Public Comment. None. 4. Elect Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary. Discussion on offices on the Planning Commission and duties. Heal nominated Kendhammer for Chair, second by Kouba. Kendhammer nominated Kouba for Vice Chair, second by Heal. Heal nominated Paulino for Secretary, second by Kouba. Motions all carried unanimously. 5. Featherstone Rise Developers Agreement. Peterson highlighted additions and changes made to the agreement based on discussions with the developer. Discussion on other proposed additions and changes. Motion by Schulz to recommend approval of the developers’ agreement with changes made at this meeting to the Town Board, second by Paulino. Motion carried unanimously. 6. Administrator Report. a. Peterson reported on recent resident concerns received. b. Peterson updated on the sewer connection limitations and stated there has been no response to hear about the pending lawsuit appeal. 7. Commissioner Reports. None. a. Gebhart asked about the sewer for State Road School, Peterson stated that the school got a permit after the fact. b. Schulz asked about the house on the corner of Ebner Coulee Road, Peterson will follow up with him to discuss options with sight lines/right-of-way obstructions. 8. Adjourn.
