Public Budget Hearing and Special Town Meeting Minutes – APPROVED Date: Tuesday, November 18, 2025 Time: 6:00 p.m. Location: 2800 Ward Ave, La Crosse, WI 54601 Town Officials Present: Chairman Tim Candahl, Supervisors Tim Padesky, Marlene Heal, Tim Ehler, and Renee Knutson, Administrator Christina Peterson, Treasurer Melissa Erdman and Clerk Fortune Berg. Town Officials Excused: None. Attendance List: Joe Hauser (N2095 County Road F). 1. Budget Hearing called to order by Chairman Candahl at 6:10 p.m. 2. Discussion on Proposed 2026 Budget. a. Hauser asked about Special Assessments and Other Funding Sources, Peterson answered and reviewed the Wedgewood Valley Project and needs for loans. b. Peterson reviewed the Proposed Revenues for 2026. c. Peterson reviewed the Proposed Expenses for 2026. Discussion on law enforcement options. Discussion on wages. Discussion on road assessments. 3. Close Budget Hearing. Motion by Padesky, second by Ehler to close Budget Hearing. Motion carried unanimously. 4. Budget Hearing Closed at 6:56 p.m. 5. Special Town Meeting called to order by Candahl at 6:57 p.m. 6. Adopt Tax Levy by Resolution. Motion to sign Resolution 2025-11 to adopt Tax Levy of $1,922,696.00 by Padesky, second by Knutson. Motion carried unanimously. 7. Close Special Town Meeting. Motion by Ehler at 6:58 p.m., second by Knutson. Motion carried unanimously.
