PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
CALL: Chairman Spierings, Supervisor Lutz, Supervisor Trzebiatowski, Clerk Lea, Treasurer Rogers and Brent Holderman.
APPROVAL OF JUNE 10, 2026, MONTHLY MINUTES: M/S by Trzebiatowski/Lutz to approve the June 10, 2026, minutes with change – add Solid Waste to Tipping Fee Increase For Portage County. M/C. Ayes=3
PUBLIC INPUT: 1.) None
GROUNDWATER REPORT: None
FIRE & SAFETY REPORT: The discussion on replacing or repairing the Fire tendor has been tabled since it is not an urgent subject. The Fire Department does have two fire tendors. 2.) Blacktopping has been done behind the Amherst Fire District building to the shipping containers.
COMMISSION REPORT: None
SHORELAND ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENTS: Don has read over the 34 pages of Shoreland Ordinance text amendments. There will be a Public Hearing for comments made on September 22, 2026. Clerk Lea suggested giving a copy to the Lake Emily Association for review.
REPORT :1.) grass cutting has started today. 2.) Optimal Terrain was hired to do truck inspections. The town board is requesting a detailed invoice for hours worked on trucks and price per hour. 3.) A speed study is being conducted on Cty. KK. 4.) Patching roads have started. 5.) 2 Safety vests have been purchased to keep in the 1-ton truck.

TOWN REPORT: 1.) Response from Rural Insurance on 9 Point Test: Clerk Lea read response from Rural Insurance on why people hired to do work (labor) for the Town and do not have Work Comp Insurance need to fill out a 9-Point Test.
TREASURER’S REPORT: Treasurer Rogers read report. Town Balance is $304,323.00. New Building/Road Repair Loan balance is $225,718.54. Treasurer Rogers contacted CoVantage and found out that the town needs a minimum of $10 in the savings account to keep the CoVantage credit cards.
