Amnicon Regular Board Meeting Amnicon Town Hall OCTOBER 9, 2025 7:00pm Arthur Amys called the meeting to order. All board members were present. Arthur Amys made a motion to approve September 11, 2025, regular meeting minutes, Mark Liebaert seconded. Motion carried. Committees- Nonactive Highway Dept – Front end loader that was abandoned on Middle River Rd has been removed. Started getting quotes for new building. J.R. Jensen came back at 1.3 million. Putting a new roof on old building for $160,000. We think that we can get something built for a lot less. Gary will investigate putting a committee together like for the townhall so wea re all on the same page with type of structure. Forestry Gary will touch base with Brian about the last logging job on the books. Gerry Kroll – We have sent letters to both landowners. We will proceed with communications Tyler Kauther Zoning change request. Mr. Kauther needs to be present to explain why he needs the change. Gary will call Mr. Kauther to have him present at next meeting. Mark Liebaert made a motion to table until November meeting. Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried. Budget planning meeting set for November 4 @ 6:00 pm. Mark Liebaert made the motion. Arthur Amys seconded, Motion carried. Heidi Scheifelbein has been hired as the new custodian. She will be taking over for Susan Amys including hall bookings. Douglas County –Government Center lease with the City of Superior is in negotiations. Clean up on John Ave. Sold it for $1000 but clean up would have cost us $50,000. County Rd W bridge is almost ready to open. Superior Days hired a coordinator. Budget has been approved.79,000,000 up 1.4% from last year. The jail is fully staffed. Approved vouchers Mark Liebaert made a motion to adjourn, Dennis Hill seconded Adjourned 8:15 pm.
