Present: Chairman Bill Conner, Supervisor Drinkwine, Supervisor Katie Stenroos, Supervisor Jeremy Olson, Treasurer Cindy Theien and Clerk Carolyn Jones. Excused absent Supervisor Jodi Kebhart Meeting sign-in sheet had a total of two attendees. New Business a. TSFD Engine 2. Per TSFD Chief Fiegle, Engine 2 responded from Oliver to an accident on Cty Rd C. Once on seen, it was noticed that there was blue smoke from the rear of Engine 2 and flames. Flames were extinguished, moved truck to the old Bartley’s and Lake City was called to tow it. Transwest estimate is $4967.81 for repairs on brakes and tires. Chairman Conner spoke with insurance, town has $500 deductible. Town has put three claims in within two years; Engine 2 had a significant high dollar claim within the last two years. If submitting a fourth claim, it might put town in jeopardy of having annual rates raised, deductible raised, or both raised, or could be canceled upon renewal in January. Discussed maintenance on vehicle and if brakes were out of adjustment or if brake liner broke and was stuck. Chairman Conner will call Transwest in morning to see if they can diagnose how it happened. Motion made by Supervisor Olson and seconded by Supervisor Stenroos to turn claim into insurance.
