May 14, 2025 Town of Dewey Board Meeting Note: These are the proposed Minutes that will be approved at the next Board meeting. ___________________________________________________________________________ Minutes Wednesday, May 14, 2025 Bay View Drive Location of Town of Dewey “Public Access” Property Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairman King at 6:45 pm. Verify Open Meeting Notice & Roll Call: Open meeting notice was verified. Chairman Maurice King, Supervisor LeRoy Pukrop, Supervisor Dennis Meis, Clerk Angela Lochinger were present. Treasurer Lori Kolodziej was excused. 12 town residents and/or visitors were present. Review staking of the property lines of the “Public Access” property: Chairman King reviewed the staked property lines of the public access parcel with adjoining property owners, noting the land was deeded for public access when the subdivision was established. Discuss/answer any questions from adjoining property owners: Chairman King addressed concerns about the public access parcel, requesting removal of a dock and other personal items placed on it. Residents inquired about the town’s plans for the land, and Chairman King clarified there are no current development intentions, only to maintain public access. Questions about the deed were raised, and he agreed to research further with Portage County. Adjournment: Chairman King adjourned the meeting at 7:25 pm.
