May 5, 2025 Town of Dewey Board Meeting Note: These are the proposed Minutes that will be approved at the next Board meeting. ___________________________________________________________________________ Minutes Monday, May 5, 2025 430 Dewey Drive-Stevens Point WI 54482 Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairman King at 6:30 pm. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Verify Open Meeting Notice & Roll Call: Open meeting notice was verified. Chairman Maurice King, Supervisor LeRoy Pukrop, Supervisor Dennis Meis, Clerk Angela Lochinger, and Treasurer Lori Kolodziej were present. 0 town residents and/or visitors were present. Discussion on road work projects for 2025: After completing annual road inspections, the Board reviewed the 2025 road work budget and discussed upcoming projects, including crack sealing, lifting granite on shorter roads, and installing culverts. Key projects include reconstructing Torun Road (paving and shouldering from Dewey Drive south for 7,075 feet), starting engineering for the Dewey Drive TRID project this fall, and reevaluating reconstruction on Willow Springs Drive south of Dewey Drive. Review updates to Town Ordinances: The Board reviewed the proposed 2025 draft ordinances, including all 27 ordinances updated and codified over the past three years. Drafts are posted under “2025 Proposed Draft Ordinances” in the Government tab on the town website and are subject to change pending public review and final adoption. Review obsolete items from town garage: The Board discussed obsolete items in the town garage and agreed to include an agenda item at next month’s meeting to address their sale or disposal.
