Town Board — Minutes

Board members in attendance: Ginnie Follendorf-Treasurer; Tom Stuessel-Chairman; Alan McCoy-Supervisor, Matt Swenson-Supervisor, Cassie Schober-Clerk Chairman Stuessel called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Then read the agenda. Clerk noted there was a change to the agenda. Monkey’s Roost is to be removed from tobacco license portion of agenda. Change noted. It was asked if everyone had a chance to review the minutes from the May meeting. Chairman Stuessel noted a slight wording change to the paving of the Mill Pond Bridge to state not pave it. Clerk will make correction. Alan McCoy made a motion to approve the minutes from the May meeting. Second by Matt Swenson. All in favor. Motion carried. 3/0 Ginnie Follendorf gave the treasurer’s report. Beginning Balance $ 661,877.67 Monthly Income $ 7,594.48 Monthly Expenses $ 60,286.78 Ending Balance $ 609,185.37 Alan McCoy made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report. Second by Matt Swenson. All in favor. Motion carried. 3/0 Alan McCoy asked if we plowed for the Sportsmens Club. Kevin Schober stated we did not. We would sand when they asked. First agenda item: Alcohol Beverage License Applications License period for the below licenses is from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026. Class “B” Beer, “Class B” Liquor for Brian Hansche, 1011 State Highway 71, Melrose, WI 54642, for the Monkey’s Roost, located at 1011 State Highway 71, Melrose, WI 54642, in the Town of Little Falls Class “B” Beer, “Class B” Liquor for Tatton Family LLC, 2101 Cardinal Dr. Rolling Meadows, IL 60008 for the Big Dan’s Longbranch, located at 7509 Carmel Avenue, Sparta, WI 54656, in the Town of Little Falls. Class “B” Beer, “Class B” Liquor for Cataract Sportsmen’s Club located at 5984 Cannon Road, Sparta, WI 54656 in the Town of Little Falls. Class “A” Retail Beer, “Class A” Retail Liquor for Boris Enterprise Inc./Cataract Mart, located at 5987 State Highway 27, Sparta, WI 54656, in the Town of Little Falls. Clerk noted no concerns with any applications and all background checks passed and all paperwork turned in. Matt Swenson made a motion to approve alcohol beverage license applications as presented. Second by Alan McCoy. All in favor. Motion carried. 3/0 Clerk will collect payment and issue license. Next Agenda Item: Operator License Applications RENEWALS- Kimberly McKnight, Lynette Griffin, Khristina Jerome, Jenice Jerome, April Samson, James Andringa, Stephanie Smith, Tim Barnum, Nate Parker, Chelsea Parker, Amber Kath-Adams, Tammy VonRuden, Sara Timm, Heather Webber, Kimberly Olsen, Heather Schwan, Alexis Jotham, Jeff Tatton, Soleil Konze Clerk noted no concerns with any application and all background checks passed and all paperwork turned in. Alan McCoy made a motion to approve operators license applications as presented. Second by Matt Swenson. All in favor. Motion carried. 3/0. Clerk will issue license. Next Agenda Item: Tobacco/Vaping License Application Application for received from Cataract Mart/Boris Inc. Clerk noted no concerns with application and all paperwork turned in. Alan McCoy made a motion to approve tobacco license as presented. Second by Matt Swenson. All in favor. Motion carried. 3/0 Clerk will issue license. Next Agenda Item: Proposed amendments to Ch 47- Zoning of the Monroe County Code Ordinances. Paperwork received from Monroe County Zoning passed out prior to meeting. Paperwork reviewed. No action needed from town. Chairman Stuessel asked if anyone had any thing else. Ginnie Follendorf stated she received a phone call asking if there was an ordinance for removing flowers from cemetery. Ginnie instructed person to contact Cataract Cemetery with concerns. Review of Bills. Alan McCoy made a motion to approve bills. Second by Matt Swenson. All in favor. Motion carried. 3/0 Next board meeting will be July 9, 2025 at 6 p.m. Matt Swenson made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Second by Alan McCoy All in favor.
