Town of Dewey Town Plan Commission Dewey Town Hall 430 Dewey Drive – Stevens Point – WI 54482 Monday April 21, 2025, 3:30 p.m. Meeting Minutes 1) Meeting was called to order at 3:32 pm and Kathy led the Pledge of Allegiance 2) Public notice was given: Roll call was taken: Present: Kathy Girolamo, Rhonda Hollfelder, Maurice King and Sandy Meis Absent: Doug Evica 3) Discussion/Action on the minutes from the meeting of April 7, 2025 Motion: Maurice made a motion to accept minutes as written, seconded by Sandy – Motion Passed: 4-0 4) Correspondences - none 5) Update on discussion with Portage County P & Z regarding zoning change on property on Sunset Drive Maurice talked to Portage County Planning and Zoning and the only other option for zoning other than C4 is Industrial which is not a good option. He also stated it will take Planning and Zoning 18 month to 2 years to finish a re-write of their ordinances. Maurice will contact Derrick and communicate the update from Planning and Zoning. 6) Review updates to Town of Dewey Ordinance No.3 – An Ordinance to Regulate and Control Land Division in the Town of Dewey Updates to Ordinance: • Section 4 add definition for Plat – a detailed map or plan showing the division of a piece of land into individual lots. • Section 4 delete definition “S” Restrictive Covenant • Section 9 Page 13 delete item 29 • Section 9 Item 30 first sentence remove “access easements” • Section 16 remove item C 7) Discussion/Action on recommendation of Town of Dewey Ordinance No.3 to the Town Board Motion: Sandy motioned to make a recommendation to the Town Board to approve ordinance 3 with the five above changes included.
