THE TOWN OF MARTELL PUBLIC BUDGET HEARING held on November 11th, 2025 at 7:00 PM at The Martell Town Hall, located at W5581 800 th Avenue, Spring Valley, WI 54767 Public Budget Hearing Minutes 1. Call to Order: Chairman Brathol called the meeting to order at 7:00 2. Verification of Public Notice: Yes 3. Roll Call: All board members present 4. Kidd made a motion to approve the agenda, Kaminski 2nd, all in favor, motion carries 5. Robin explained the changes to the budget due to updating to the Uniform Chart of Accounts. 6. No questions 7. Kaminski made a motion to adjourn, Kidd 2nd, all in favor, motion carries. Special Town Meeting to Approve the 2025 Tax Levy and the 2026 Budget Minutes 8. Call to Order: Chairman Brathol called the meeting to order at 7:13 9. Verification of Public Notice - Yes 10. Kidd made a motion to approve the agenda, Kaminski 2nd, all in favor, motion carries 11. Kaminski clarified who electors are: Electors of the town are the participants in the meeting and approving the levy and budget, 18 or older, eligible to vote, US citizen, and lived in the township for at least 45 days. 12. Dale Olson made a motion to approve the Resolution for the Electors to Adopt the Total Town Tax Levy 2025-06 in the amount of $444,256 Prescott Bergh 2nd, all in favor, 12 ayes, no abstentions. 13. Sheila Olson made a motion to approve the 2026 Budget, Wayne Augustin 2nd, all in favor, motion carries, 12 ayes, no abstentions 14. Kidd made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Dale Olson 2nd, all in favor, motion carries Informational note: added at 12/16/2025 Regular Town Board Meeting: Board acknowledges that while a town vote was taken to approve the budget, the Board’s official vote to approve the budget will take place at the December Board meeting
