Town of Dewey Town Plan Commission Dewey Town Hall 430 Dewey Drive – Stevens Point – WI 54482 Monday April 7, 2025, 6:00 p.m. Meeting Minutes 1) Meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm and Kathy led the Pledge of Allegiance 2) Public notice was given: Roll call was taken: Present: Kathy Girolamo, Doug Evica, Rhonda Hollfelder, Maurice King and Sandy Meis 3) Discussion/Action on the minutes from the meeting of January 9, 2023 Motion to approve minutes as is with two minor changes made by Rhonda Holfelder and seconded by Maurice King. Motion carried: 5-0 4) Correspondences: None 5) Discussion/Possible Action for recommendation to the Dewey Town Board regarding a re-zoning request by Derrick Zagrzebski, Parcel ID # 014250726-04.12; 3066 & 3068 Sunset Drive, Stevens Point, WI 54482 from C1 Neighborhood Commercial to C4 (or possibly C3) Highway Commercial to operate mini- warehousing on the 4.09-acre parcel. Motion: Postpone action until recommendation from Portage County Planning and Zoning for an appropriate zoning change. Motion made by Maurice King and seconded by Sandy Meis. Motion carried: 5-0 Action item: Maurice King will discuss with Portage County Planning and Zoning for recommended zoning change. 6) Discussion/Possible Action for recommendation to the Dewey Town Board regarding a special exception request by Sandra Pumper DVM, Parcel ID # 014250702-10.07; 1000 County Road DB, Mosinee, WI 54455 to operate her mobile veterinary practice for dogs & cats: Rolling Paws Pet Care LLC on the 1.57 acre parcel. Motion: Recommendation to town board to approve special exception to allow the vet clinic. One condition that they check that the well and septic are sufficient for the business.
