Special Town Board Meeting — Minutes

Town of Dodgeville Town Board Meeting Minutes May 19th, 2025 *Immediately following the Board of Review* 1) Call to order. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. Town Supervisors in attendance were David Pope, Peter Vanderloo, Kyle Levetzow and Pam Johnson-Loy. Also in attendance were Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson and Aaron Fitzsimmons. Everyone in attendance recited the Pledge of Allegiance. 2) Approval of Public Notice/Agenda. Supervisor, Kyle Levetzow made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda seconded by Supervisor, Pam Johnson-Loy. Motion carried. 3) Public Comment. None 4) Discussion & possible action re: Recycling Center Concerns. The Town Board and Recycling Center attendant Aaron Fitzsimmons discussed the outside light at the Recycling Center, how to help residents understand where to place particular items, the cardboard containers and flattening of boxes. Aaron indicated he will provide quarterly updates to the Board in regards to the Recycling Center. 5) Discussion & possible action re: Universal Truck Equipment Invoices. Kyle Levetzow made a motion to pay the Universal Truck Equipment invoice in the amount of $117,742.00. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried. 6) Discussion & possible action re: Selling of MACK Truck. The Town Board discussed the selling of the 2015 MACK Truck. Kyle Levetzow made a motion to allow a municipality or a unit of government to purchase the 2015 MACK in the amount of $150,000.00 prior to the Town taking the item up to Wisconsin Surplus on June 2nd. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried. Kyle Levetzow made a motion to list the item for sale with Wisconsin Surplus taking the item to their location with a minimum bid of $150,000.00. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried. 7) Adjournment. Peter Vanderloo made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:46 p.m. Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried.
