Town of Dodgeville Plan Commission Meeting Monday, February 24th, 2025 The Town of Dodgeville Plan Commission met on Monday, February 24th, 2025 at 6:00 P.M. Planning Commission Chair Krista Dolan called the Planning Commission meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. Plan Commission Committee members in attendance were Curt Peterson, Peter Vanderloo, Julie Dolan and Mary Wilson. Paul Lawinger and John Dunbar were absent. Planning Commission Chair Krista Dolan verified that proper notice of the public hearing was posted on February 17th, 2025 in accordance with WI Statutes 19.84 (3) at the Town Message Boards at Pleasant Ridge Store, Mueller Implement and the Town Office. Curt Peterson made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried. Mary Wilson made a motion to approve the January 27th, 2025 meeting minutes as presented. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried. The Planning Commission committee continued to discuss the proposed amendment to Section H Land Use Element regarding land splits on non-cropland after receiving feedback at the public hearing. The Planning Commission members discussed comments that were received from Iowa County Planning & Development Director, Scott Godfrey in regards to the updated flow chart from the December 30th, 2024 meeting. The Planning Commission further discussed each of the bullet points in the third column from the flow chart and made the following modification to read as follows: Bullet Point #1: If we amend the plan to include a minimum lot size of 2 acre lot size and a maximum 2.5 acres, Bullet Point #2: The proposed lot will need to be zoned to a district that permits one single-family residence, Bullet Point #4 Only would be allowed on non-cropland as defined in the plan, Bullet Point #5 Only 1 split every 5 years on the basis of contiguous ownership as described on a deed recorded prior to _________ at the Iowa County Register of Deeds, Cropland Definition: Removal of the words or government. Curt Peterson made a motion to move forward and hold a Joint Public Hearing with Iowa County Planning & Development on the proposed amendment to Section H Land Use Element. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried. There were no other correspondence and other matters.
