Special Board Meeting — Minutes

MINUTES October 22, 2025 The Special Board Meeting of the Village Board was called to order by Village President, Robert Spurley on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Village Hall. Roll Call: John Trace, Denny Rickard, Stephen Troester, Jason Cartwright, Larry Dale Schultz, Doug Rider, Robert Spurley. Absent: None Employees: Sue Lindner, Randy Kitelinger, Mike Silvers, Alan Schrank Citizens: LVFD – Kevin Liddicoat New Business: Kevin Liddicoat showed the board a video of a Rapid Response Vehicle. He shared that the fire department would like to purchase a Rapid Response Vehicle. The Fire Department asked to purchase a 1-ton pickup truck to be used as the Rapid Response Vehicle. The department received a FEMA Micro Grant for $38,065.11 with the Fire Department matching a 5% grant match of $1,903.29 that has already been fundraised to be used to equip the truck with Ultra High-Pressure Skid Unit firefighting equipment. The fire department would like to sell engine 2 and use the money to go towards the new truck. The LVFD also has $10,000 saved towards purchase of the 1-ton pickup truck. The village board reviewed and discussed the 2026 Budget. Jason Cartwright made a motion to approve the budget as presented and seconded by John Trace. Motion passed 7-0.
