Town members: Dale Gutman, James Campbell, and Rick Diaz
Notice legally posted.
Minutes: The minutes from June 8, 2026, Regular Board Meeting presented.
Motion to approve June 8, 2026, Regular Board Meeting minutes (MG/KB), all
in favor, approved.
Treasurer Report: Dawn summarizes balance as of June 30, 2026, $682,675.52.
Money Market funds gained $416.69 in interest. The balance is now $129,437.77.
Motion to approve treasurer report (MG/KB), all in favor, approved.
Pay Bills: Motion to pay the bills (KB/MG), all in favor, approved.
Announcements: Elections – August 11 Partisan Primary – voting at the town hall
from 7AM until 8PM and November 3 – voting will be at St. Francis of Assisi Parish,
338 S Harrison St in Belleville from 7AM until 8PM.
Supervisor report: Ted – major storm damage after last month’s meeting, trees
downed a powerline across Argue Rd. EMS is now Sugar River EMS, seven
municipalities are members up from five, and the EMS staff already submitted and
won a state grant. Mark – the trees that fell during storm – who can take them? Ted
- anyone can take them, first come first served.
Citizen Input: No comments
Committee Reports: Mark – 67 cars at the June 18 Cruise Night, $709 before
expenses and $58 in donations. Next car show – Thursday, July 16. Please put the
following on the agenda for next month – buying trash and recycle cans, running
electrical to pickleball court/mini shelter/flagpole/parking lot light. I will contact
Clark or Reeb for estimates for electrical. We might add another basketball hoop,
but we would have to reconfigure the court.
Unfinished: August 20 – Cruise Night – Would we allow the Legion Post from
Belleville to run the food stand and keep the profits? Rick – Park committee talked
about this and decided No to be allowing any outside fundraisers. There are too
many things the park needs to let others take over the lunch stand during Cruise
Nights.
New Business:
• EMS representative appointment - fire department has an eight-member board
and Sugar River EMS will have a seven-member board. Burt Boldebuck was
already appointed by Ted at the Sugar River EMS meeting and Burt was elected
as president of the Sugar River EMS board during that same meeting. The
board has limits and any monetary issues must come before each municipality
board.
Adjourn: Motion to adjourn, (KB/MG), all in favor, adjourned 7:22PM
Respectfully Submitted,
Dawn Marie Sass, Clerk/Deputy Treasurer
