will be moved to St. Francis of Assisi Church located at 338 Harrison St. in Belleville.
Supervisor report: Ted – one driveway permit this month on Cardinal Crest. Mark
– new locks for the recycle center due to too many keys out there and illegal
dumping.
Citizen Input: Chris Backes – June 30 Belleville EMS will be known as Sugar River
EMS (7 municipalities), 25/7, 365 days/year staffing. Three rigs now and adding a
fourth this summer. Ambulance at New Glarus Fire Department and two in
Belleville. New logos, state innovation grant applied for and looks good that we will
get a grant. Rick – what are the costs and what is the new agreement? Costs down
and a ten-year agreement.
Committee Reports: Mark – fifty cars and fifty hot dogs sold May 21 at Cruise
Night. Ron would like to donate a bench, but Mark sent a list of other items we
would like but if a bench is all they are looking at, we can find a place. There are
several trees that are dying and three are leaning over the riverbank. Jeff and Diane
Sarbacker also would like a bench, but Ted had mentioned smaller picnic tables
would be nice. Kent – three volunteer grant writers at the Senior Center, in three
months secured over $7,400.00 in grant money and hoping to have $10,000 by fall.
They have reached out to New Glarus to sign a contract with the senior center.
Unfinished: None
New Business:
• Liquor/Tobacco/Operators License approvals for Al’s Dayton Place LLC and
Edelweiss Chalet Country Club. Motion to approve liquor licenses, tobacco
licenses and operator licenses for Al’s Dayton Place LLC and Edelweiss
Chalet Country Club (MG/KB), all in favor, approved.
• Park Committee referral to allow the American Legion Post 460 to do food at
the August 20th Cruise Night with a rain date for September 17th Cruise Night
and keep all profits for the new building fund – Kent’s family will provide
everything for no cost so the post can make a good profit for their building
fund. Rick – opposed to this because August and September is the best night
for raising funds for the park. Tabled until next month so park committee
can discuss and make a recommendation.
Adjourn: Motion to adjourn (KB/MG), all in favor, approved. Adjourned at
7:36PM
Respectfully Submitted,
Dawn Marie Sass, Clerk/Deputy Treasurer
