Town Board — Minutes

Town of Exeter Regular Board Meeting Monday, April 13, 2025 – 7:00PM Ted Fahey, Mark Gundlach, Kent Brauer, and Clerk Sass were present. Town members: Siegfried Eckhardt (Siggi) and Burt Boldebuck. Notice legally posted. Minutes: The minutes of March 9, 2026, Regular Board Meeting presented. Motion to approve March 9, 2026, Regular Board Meeting minutes (MG/KB), all in favor, approved. Treasurer Report: Dawn summarizes balance as of March 31, 2026, $787,089.02. Money Market funds gained $419.16 in interest. The balance is now $128,244.61. Motion to approve treasurer report (MG/KB), all in favor, approved. Pay Bills: Motion to pay the bills (KB/MG), all in favor, approved. Announcements: Ted – A resident approached him at the recycle center to complain about election day. The resident believes a poll worker’s car had current candidate stickers on it, parked there all day and not five hundred feet from the poll. Clerk said that resident should have said something and the issue would have been dealt with on election day. Supervisor report: Ted – reached out to St. Francis to see if we can use the gathering space for election, how about the new library? June 30 begins the new EMS district. There will be EMS raffle tickets for sale at the recycle center. Mark – regarding the Hwy 69 construction work, starting at New Glarus Brewery to just into Monroe – Hwy 69 shut down from 7/14 – 8/30. On Hwy 81 and Hwy. T, DOT is working on a round-about. Citizen Input: Siggi – USS Wisconsin – submarine. He will try to get the inflatable replica to Exeter, for one of the Cruise Nights at Exeter Park. How are ships/submarines/etc. named? Capitol ship – named for States. Burt asked about stakes on Argue Rd. near Hwy. W – Ted said they are putting in new power poles. Committee Reports: Mark – park committee meets tomorrow night. First car show in May. There has been a request for a memorial bench – Justin Sarbacker. Unfinished: None.
