Town Board — Minutes

Town of Exeter Regular Board Meeting Monday, February 9, 2026 – 7:00PM Ted Fahey, Mark Gundlach, Kent Brauer, and Clerk Sass were present. Town members: None. Notice legally posted. Minutes: The minutes from January 12, 2026 Regular Board Meeting presented. Motion to approve January 12, 2026 Regular Board Meeting minutes (MG/KB), all in favor, approved. Treasurer Report: Dawn summarizes balance as of January 31, 2026 $1,963,365.86. Money Market funds gained $404.14 in interest. The balance is now $127,458.37. Motion to approve treasurer report (MG/KB), all in favor, approved. Bills: Motion to pay bills (MG/KB), all in favor, approved. Announcements: No February primary. Clerk will be out of office on Monday, February 23, 2026. Supervisor report: Ted – multiple EMS meetings, proposed draft of new contract with Belleville EMS and New Glarus, 7 members – every participate with have one vote, potential new name Sugar River EMS, SWR planning is finishing a consolidation study. Mark – BOR training, good video. Hwy C will be closed 3/16 – 3/19 due to demolishing some silos by a cheese factory. Kent – Senior Center awnings are trashed, $3,100.00 estimate from Baraboo Awning. A lady from New Glarus offered to pay for new awnings as long as it stays under $5,000.00. Mark Dohm has been making the meetings. Citizen Input: None. Committee Reports: None. Unfinished: None. New Business: • Possible closing of Christen Rd. Kiosk – website can be used as an official posting site. Clerk asks if we can purchase a new kiosk for the Pernot Rd. site. The current kiosk could be fixed with new plywood. Motion to discontinue posting at the Christen Rd. kiosk (KB/MG), all in favor, approved.
