Town Board — Minutes

Town of Exeter Regular Board Meeting Monday, October 14, 2024 – 7:00PM Ted Fahey, Mark Gundlach, Kent Brauer, and Clerk Sass were present. Town members: Diane Zweifel and Siegfried Eckhardt (Siggy). Notice legally posted. Minutes: The minutes from September 9, 2024, regular meeting presented. Motion to approve September 9, 2024, regular meeting minutes (MG/KB), all in favor, approved. Treasurer Report: Dawn summarizes balance as of September 30, 2024: $270,316.25. ARPA funds gained $554.26 in interest. The balance is now $120,071.24. Motion to approve treasurer report (MG/KB), all in favor, approved. Announcements: Early voting begins 10/22 and ballots boxes can be used again. Supervisor report: Ted – public hearing to borrow money for the new Fire Truck and EMS vehicle night of the public budget hearing. There is a 100-foot set-back for any structure housing animals in a subdivision. Citizen Input: Siggy – Frontier will transfer all broadband work to Verizon. Verizon has officially purchased Frontier. Diane – park meeting brought up ATV/UTV in the park, why can’t they be in the park? Can we allow them now? What about dogs in the park? We could have a couple “waste” stations. Ted wants to refer to the committee for their opinion. Ted is not in favor. We need to check with our insurance agent for liability issues. Ted said we can allow ATV/UTV in the park, the rule was prior to the roads being opened up for ATV/UTV usage. Motion to allow ATV/UTV usage in the park if they stay on the paved areas (MG/KB), all in favor, approved. Committee Reports: None. Unfinished: None.
