Town Board — Minutes

Town of Exeter Regular Board Meeting Monday, February 12, 2024 – 7:00PM Ted Fahey, Mark Gundlach, Kent Brauer, and Clerk Sass were present. Town members: Rick Diaz, Lyndon Hessling, Siegfried Eckhardt (Siggy) Notice legally posted. Minutes: The minutes from January 8, 2024, regular meeting presented. Motion to approve January 8, 2024, regular meeting minutes (MG/KB), all in favor, approved. Treasurer Report: Dawn summarizes balance as of January 31, 2024: $1,981,767.99. ARPA funds gained $565.80 in interest. The balance is now $115,803.13. Motion to approve treasurer report (MG/KB), all in favor, approved. Announcements: No February primary. Thank you from Don Rupnow for the beautiful plant we sent for Jeannette’s funeral (former town clerk). I have a get-well card for Ricky Kistling. Supervisor report: Ted – the town hall has a new furnace and air conditioning unit. We had a burial at Exeter Cemetery – I used my skid loader two times to plow a pathway – the Saunders family was very appreciative (traffic control). Wis DOT will hold a public information meeting on Jan. 24 from 10:00AM – 6:00PM for Hwy 92 project – no shoulder being put in, public hearing for input was 5 years ago. Citizen Input: Lyndon – can I see the picture of the old train? Siggy – no update Committee Reports: Mark – nothing. Rick – submittal for vault toilet and a few bids for digging the hole. March agenda for awarding the digging. Car Shows will be held on the third Thursdays, June – September. Mike Vorpahl has some ideas for an automatic door lock. Unfinished Business: • Restroom for Exeter Park – Huffcutt Teal Vault - Motion to purchase the Teal Vault Toilet from Huffcutt (MG/KB), all in favor, purchase is approved. New Business: • WTA District Meetings – February 23, 2024 – sign up two people. • Culvert Program – inventory of any culvert six feet or larger in Exeter. A consulting firm can do this and charge us $100.00 per culvert. Green County can do it for less than $100.00. Town gets $100.00 per recorded culvert. • Bills – Motion to pay bills (MG/KB), all in favor, approved.
