Town Board — Minutes

Town of Exeter Regular Board Meeting Monday, January 8, 2024 – 7:00PM Ted Fahey, Mark Gundlach, Kent Brauer, and Clerk Sass were present. Town members: Bob Talarczyk Notice legally posted. Minutes: The minutes from December 11, 2023, regular meeting presented. Motion to approve December 11, 2023, regular meeting minutes (MG/KB), all in favor, approved. Treasurer Report: Dawn summarizes balance as of December 31, 2023: $1,539,974.04. ARPA funds gained $495.93 in interest. The balance is now $115,237.33. Motion to approve treasurer report (MG/KB), all in favor, approved. Announcements: State Road 92 project improvement information available in the Town Hall. Supervisor report: Ted – found a picture of the passenger train that used to come through from Illinois to Madison. Citizen Input: None Committee Reports: Mark talked to Rick – Park Committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday, January 9 canceled due to extreme weather forecast. Unfinished: None. New Business: • Bob Talarczyk – after his father passed, the five sons inherited the land. They are going forward with a large lot split with New Glarus township. There is no land located in Exeter but there is a driveway onto Airport Road (on the curve). Exeter has no input but will have to sign the plat due to the driveway coming out in Exeter. Motion to approve preliminary plat (MG/KB), all in favor, approved. • Bills – Motion to pay bills (MG/KB), all in favor, approved.
