The meeting was called to order by Harry Pulliam at 06:25 PM. 2. Clerk Darla Kramer attested to the Proof of Posting on 07-20-2026 at the Town Garage, the Bank of New Glarus, and the New Glarus Post Office. Posted to the website 07-20-2026. 3. Motion made by Kelly Ruschman to approve minutes from 06-17-2026. Seconded by Jason Neton. All were in favor. Motion carried. 4. Public Comment – Mona Sue French is considering ending her term on the committee and would like Bill French to replace her. 5. Condition of Trails in Legacy Prairie Park – A few trails are still a little rough for Cross Country. They will speak with Dennis Haack and consider what needs to be done. They would like to roll the trails a few more times. They met with Quercus and the prairie looks really nice. Quercus is recommending a burn. There are a lot of invasives. The stream crossing is quite nice now. The north/south trail leading to the top of the hill south of the farmette needs the most work. Eventually would like to add more dirt and overseeding there. For now, they will spray the trail for Canada thistle. 6. Projects at Legacy Prairie Park – Due to the retention pond, there is now a dead-end trail just to the south of the pond. It was decided to retire a short section of the trail and route the trail through the woods on an existing pass-through. The trail that passes the retention pond is very narrow now. The committee felt a railing between the trail and the retention pond is needed. 7. Native Planting Signs – Mark Pernitz did not have pricing yet from the correctional facility. 8. Work at BBRC – Steve Fabos stated the area in the valley looks good. Todd (neighbor) has continued to burn out there. He has thinned out all the Sumac. Todd is mowing the trails also. 9. Friends of New Glarus Parks – Were unable get a meeting scheduled with the attorney. 10. Next meeting will be August 19th at The Town Garage. 11. Motion to adjourn at 8:05 PM made by Chris Narveson and seconded by Kelly Ruschman. All were in favor. Motion carried. Submitted by: Clerk Treasurer Darla Kramer Approved 08-19-2026
