Parks Commission Meeting — Minutes

Town of New Glarus Park Commission Meeting Minutes Wednesday, March 18, 2026, 6:00 PM Chalet Landhaus Conference Room, 801 Wisconsin Hwy 69, New Glarus, WI Park Commission Members in Attendance: Chris Narveson, Kelly Ruschman, Jason Neton, Mark Pernitz, Mona Sue French, Clerk Darla Kramer Park Members Not in Attendance: Rose Pertzborn Others in attendance: Lynn Paron, Todd Argall, Drew Delforge, Rob Ready, Grace McLaughlin 1. The meeting was called to order by Harry Pulliam at 06:07 PM. 2. Clerk Darla Kramer attested to the Proof of Posting on 03-16-2026 at the Town Garage, the Bank of New Glarus, and the New Glarus Post Office. Posted to the website 03-16-2026. 3. Motion made by Jason Neton to approve minutes from 02-18-2026. Seconded by Kelly Ruschman. All were in favor. Motion carried. 4. No public comments - Chris Narveson wanted it noted that there should be no trespassing in the construction zone at the new garage. 5. Discussion Regarding Signage at Legacy Park – Mark is working on a map of the park and assigning names to them. 6. Office Park Vehicle signs – The committee felt it was premature. 7. Friends of New Glarus Parks – Attorney Hazelbaker will create a 501c3 pro bono. Members will meet with him. Jason has received a few more emails about interest in the park. 8. Discussion Regarding Conservation Easement – Driftless could not make this meeting. They will try for next month or the following month. The conservatory was explained as contracting with another organization to ensure that nothing changes for prosperity. It protects natural spaces. Wild Oaks is in a conservatory. They want to have a presentation to see the cost/benefits. 9. Meeting spaces – Possibly the old town garage in the future. 10. Next Park’s Meeting is scheduled for April 15, 2026 at 6 pm. 11.
