Regular Town Board Meeting — Minutes

TOWN OF NEW GLARUS Special Town Board Meeting Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at 5:48 p.m. Location: Chalet Landhaus, 2nd Floor, Conference Room, 801 WI Hwy 69, New Glarus, WI Members in attendance: Chair Narveson, Supervisor Dan Gartzke, Supervisor Pernitz. Also attending: Danielle Travis, Nathaniel Bartlett, Dennis Hoesley, William French, Jean Retrum, Larry Retrum, Dan Frye, George Marotta, Lauren Siegenthaler, Erick Siegenthaler, Troy Bader, Sarah Dittmer 1. Chair Narveson called the meeting to order at 5:48 p.m. 2. Supervisor Pernitz made a motion to approve the Bader land division as presented. Supervisor Gartzke seconded the motion. There was no discussion. All were in favor. The Bader land division is approved. 3. Revaluation was discussed and noted that the Town is out of compliance. This does not mean higher taxes necessarily. Chair Narveson explained ag conversions that are now in effect. If a home is on 10 acres and the acreage is not being used as ag land, it will be taxed as residential. Supervisor Pernitz explained fair market value and assessed value. These two numbers need to be within a certain percentage according to the State. If they are not, a revaluation is required. This is an expense the Town must pay. 4. Supervisor Pernitz made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Supervisor Gartzke seconded the motion. All were in favor. Meeting adjourned at 5:55 p.m. Respectfully submitted by: Margo A.
