Green County Solid Waste Management Board Committee Minutes August 20, 2026 The Green County Solid Waste Management Board met on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at the Green County Solid Waste Management Office at 1:00 p.m. Those members present were Dennis Schwartz, Mark Gundlach, Larry Kranig, Casey Jones, David Olsen, Hickory Daniels and Stephen Scanlan. Board members Amy Jo Walter and Steve Stettler were absent. Also present was Matthew Kauffman – Solid Waste Director. The meeting was called to order at 1:00 PM. A motion was made by Mark Gundlach and seconded by Casey Jones to approve the minutes of the June 16, 2026 meeting. The motion was carried by unanimous voice vote. A discussion was held regarding the updates of the landfill operations. No Action was taken. A motion was made by Hickory Daniels and seconded by Casey Jones to purchase skid loader attachment (Sweeper) not to exceed $7,000.00. The motion was carried by unanimous voice vote. A motion was made by Casey Jones and seconded by Larry Kranig to approve raising the gate rates for contracted and non-contracted as presented with one modification. The motion was carried by unanimous voice vote. A discussion was held regarding the 2027 Landfill Budget. No Action was taken. A motion was made by Stephen Scanlan and seconded by Larry Kranig to approve the landfill audit for July. The motion was carried by unanimous voice vote. The next meeting date was set for Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Green County Landfill. As there was no further business, a motion was made by Stephen Scanlan and seconded by Casey Jones to adjourn. The motion was carried by unanimous voice vote.
